"The beans are nearly done."

I don't really have words for Torchwood, so I'm not going to say anything other than I never thought Torchwood could be so GOOD. So hooray! I may even buy the DVD! In fact I think I've decided I will, and I'll get Eve to sign it at LFCC, probably.

Going to Danny Wallace reading/signing on Tuesday, provided I can get across to Leeds in time. Should be doable, I think. Also providing they haven't sold out of tickets, but I'm going to get my Dad to go in tomorrow and check I'll be okay to show up on the door.

Then Mam and I have tickets for the new HP on Wednesday, at 8.40 though which I was not too happy about - but she's bought them now!

This time next week we'll be done with the hostel, done with LFCC and I'll be chillaxing at [info]jainaj's house with [info]fallen_wiccan and [info]scourgeoe after having watched Top Gear (I'm assuming!).

And then on Monday, along with [info]fray101 and [info]mrbuttmonkey, we'll be off! Everybody keeps taking about packing, but feh - I'll probably pack on Friday night, knowing me. Though this week will be a week of trying not to wear anything I want to take with me, I know that much. The only thing in my suitcase so far is Karen's iPhone charger so I can be sure I won't forget it.

The Comic Con schedule planning is insane - what is less insane is our LA planning. We get there Monday night, we're going to check in to our hotel, grab some delish ice-cream from Cold Stone, stop by Mann's Chinese Theatre to buy tickets for HP on Tuesday (I love the inside of that cinema so much it doesn't even matter what's showing) and then head off to La Cantina for drinkies!

Tuesday is WB Tour day, which despite the fact I've done it before, I cannot WAIT to go on. It was so much better than the Universal Studios tour, because while Universal is great, you go on a 45 minute bus ride with umpteen other people on a route that's set out and the same one everybody takes. With the WB, you're there for well over two hours, there's only 12 people on your tour (and there's six of us, so we're half!) and they take you where you want to go to see the things you want to see. The guide will just drive the cart wherever he/she feels like, which is awesome and makes every tour different.

After that we're going on a bus tour around Rodeo Drive/Sunset Blvd/Beverly Hills etc, and since it's hop on hop off, we might get off in one of those places and explore before coming back to Hollywood to go to California Pizza Kitchen for food and then going to see HP.

Wednesday we get the train to San Diego for Comic Con mentalism! We've been scouring the schedules, I have a spreadsheet, we have various lists, we're coming armed with highlighters... I want to see Middleman on Thursday, The Guild and Eureka on Friday, Chuck on Saturday (everybody! Including Yvonne! And Ryan! And Sarah! EEH!) and the lovely David Tennant on Sunday. Hopefully everything will go to plan but we're well prepared for much queuing, early starts and not getting everything we want to see!

CAN'T WAIT! Whee! Five days at work... counting down!
... I hadn't realised I have not posted since July 7th. Oops. Hi. Happy fellow birthday to [info]shaggydogstail and [info]furiosity, and thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday as well!

All of my sisters and a couple of friends came over yesterday for a small birthday get together, which we followed with attending a shadow cast screening of Jurassic Park. Phenomenally terrible. Occasionally it was funny but mostly it wasn't and after awhile we just stopped watching the cast and watched the movie instead (while being silently annoyed that they were in the way of the screen). Alas, you win some, you lose some.

Here's the birthday cake my friend baked for me. cut for AWESOME )

I also (finally) finished my mermaid quilt this afternoon. cut for pics )

Why in the hell am I suffering from a sudden burning desire to write AI fic? And more importantly, do I really want to write mail order bride western Kris/Adam wherein Kris is a rancher and Adam is, um, not? Probably involving scenes where Kris has known Adam for exactly six hours and Adam is all, "Sure! Let's have sex! We're married!" and Kris chokes a lot. Oh god, I'm totally joining the dark side.

Series: Anything You Can Do (3/?)

  • Jul. 12th, 2009 at 10:47 AM
This is the last time I'm going to crosspost this to [info]ron_draco, [info]weaselandferret and [info]princeandpauper - I feel bad clogging up the communities every day ;) If you want to follow this story, please join/watch [info]mamalazfics for (almost!) daily updates.

Title: Anything You Can Do (3/?)
Episode: #3 - Spotted Dick is the Dessert of the Day
Rating: R - for now
Fandom: Harry Potter
Pairing: Ron/Draco
Disclaimer: The characters of Harry Potter aren't mine. I just like making them shag each other. A lot.
Summary: An on-going Ron/Draco. Being the resident 'it-boy' of the Wizarding World, Draco doesn't appreciate it when Ron Weasley stumbles into the scene and steals all his coverage. This means war.
Notes: An on-going Ron/Draco, that'll be updated every other day.
Link: 'How do I look?' Draco asked smugly as he eyed himself in the mirror, smirking at his reflection.
